Brett Kavanaugh has been confirmed as the next Supreme Court Justice following allegations against him for sexual harassment.  Dr. Christine Blasey Ford came forward with her allegations against Kavanaugh publicly and although she attested that Kavanaugh abused her when both were in high school, he was still given the vote of confidence by the majority of the senate.  Sexual abuse and sexual harassment have impacted countless women all over the world and Dr. Ford is no different.  Her bravery to come forward was inspiring to many, however many people attacked her and called into question her character and ethics instead of seeing her as the victim of a heinous crime.  These types of things are the reason why many women do not come forward with many of the awful things that have happened to them, and it is disappointing to see how this could still happen in 2018.  It was especially disgusting to see other women come out against Ford because of their political views as if that would justify any type of abuse.  The lack of bipartisanship in our country and society has made everything a question about politics rather than whats right or wrong.  Republicans and Democrats alike must be able to question members of their own parties when they do something wrong and not let their politics get in the way of their moral compass.  Kavanaugh is innocent until proven guilty but these allegations should not be taken lightly and if there is possibility that the allegations are true, I do not believe he should have been confirmed.
